In 2010, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) introduced a series of reforms intended to result in billions of dollars in savings for Medicare and strengthen the care received by Medicare beneficiaries. The ACA also included new provisions that were intended to “… improve the quality of care , develop and promote new models of care delivery, appropriately price services, modernize our health system, and fight waste, fraud and abuse.”
